12. so与such的区别。
such 是形容词,修饰名词或名词词组, so是副词,只能修饰形容词或副词。
so 还可与表示数量的形容词many,few,much, little连用,形成固定搭配。 so + adj. such + a(n) + n. so + adj. + a(n) + n. such + n. (pl.) so + adj. + n. (pl.) such +n. (pl.) so + adj. + n. [不可数] such +n. [不可数]
so…that与such…that之间的转换既为 so与such之间的转换。 1.) She is so lovely a girl that everyone loves
2.) She is such a lovely girl that everyone loves her.(她是如此可爱的一个女孩,以至每个人都喜欢她。)

13. can和be able to都表示能力,意思上没多大区别。 can表示一般的能力,可以指本来就有的能力。
be able to 表示―具体的能力‖(即在某具体场合成功地做了某事),强调通过努力。
时态区别:can只有现在和过去时,而be able to则有更多的形式。 意义区别:当成功地完成某一具体动作时,通常不用could而用was/were able to来表示。
这时was/were able to 相当于managed to,表示经过一番努力,终于能够完成某事。 如:

条件状语从句要用if来引导,if意为“如果”,引导条件状语从句时,表示假如有从句的动作发生就(不)会有主句的动作发生。在时间状语从句和条件状语从句中,要注意主句和从句之间时态的问题:主句用一般将来时,从句用一般现在时。也就是说在时间状语从句和条件状语从句中,要用一般现在时代替一般将来时。 例如:
If you drive too fast,you may have an accident.如果你开车太快,就有可能会出事。
Note: until意为“直到”,引导时间状语从句。当主句的谓语动词是延续性动词时,主句常用肯定形式,当主句的谓语动词是非延续性动词时,主句要用否定形式。not...until...意为“直到??才??”。例如:
I'll wait here until she comes back.我会在这里等着,直到她回来。(wait表示的动作可以持续)
He didn't go to bed until his father came back.直到他父亲回来他才睡觉。(go to bed表示的动作不能持续)
