By the end of this period, students will be able to:

1. Get some idea about two main types of advertisement and their respective purposes;

Learning procedures: PROCEDURE 1. Daily report: Warming up (PPT1-4) 2. Enjoy some ads and introduce the two types of ads using the neat two question. 1) Where can we find these ads? 2. Why do you like these ads? Vocabulary learning (PPT5) Discuss each ad from the following aspects: Output (PPT6) 1. What is the purpose of ads for social problems? 2. What is the purpose of ads for sales? 3. What is important to an advertisement? Forming abstract nouns (PPT7-11) Presentation (PPT12-19) Homework

Introduce different suffixes and their meanings and consolidate them by a competition: see which group can list words by using suffixes. 1. Design an ad 2.
