1 Thank you, my friend!
… … I’ll always remember the afternoon when Rachel and her mom came knocking on our door when we first moved in the neighborhood. She gave me a friendly smile and held out her hand, I was a shy and a timid girl at the time, and hesitated for a moment before I slowly took her hand, but she didn’t seem to mind. During the evening, we hung out in the backyard and talked. Her humorous tone had me laughing so hard my stomach hurt, and slowly made me forget about my fears of being new around town. From then on, we were like glued to each other. Rachel was always there for me, and I am so thankful to have her as a friend.
In a way, she has changed me for the better. And as a good friend, I’ll always be there for her in return. As I’ve heard it said, “Friends are like stars, you may not always see them, but you know they’re there.”
2 Thank you, my friend!
… … I broke my arms during the basketball competition when I was in primary school. I was hurt badly and couldn’t stop crying. While others were looking at me in silence, my friend Tom came to me quickly and asked me whether I was OK. I shook my head without saying a word and looked at him with hope in my eyes. He thought for a while and quickly ran into the teaching building. I didn’t know what he would do and just waited in the corner. I was so afraid that I could hardly say a word. Later, Tom ran back with the school doctor. He looked at me with a warm smile and told me that I would be well again in one day or two.
Time goes by, but I always think of Tom and his warm smile. We meet each other very often and I am always ready to help him when he is in trouble, to thank him for his great help to me.
3 Thank you, my friend!

Once I was ill and didn’t go to school. After school, she came to my home with flowers in her hands, asking about my situation. I was a little surprised but also a little moved. She gave me my exercise books and told me about the homework. Then she let me go to my bedroom and became a little teacher. She taught me the lessons at school that day and gave me her notebooks. I was deeply moved because of her patience and love, and then cried. Oh my friend, I think I should do more for you in the coming days, and I will be very glad to help you get out of trouble or tell some jokes to make you laugh in order to keep a good mood. We will be best friends forever.
4 Thank you, my teacher!
… … I used to be a student who couldn’t catch up with my classmates until she was assigned to our classroom. Because of my bad grades, no one would like to make friends with me, I always stay lonely. The fear of being laughed at by others kept me from the other students, and once after a naughty boy played a trick on me, I was
