My View on Advertisement(广告之我见)

Nowadays advertisements are very common. You can see all kinds of advertisements on TV. Some people feel that advertisements are generally helpful, yet others think them harmful. Since everything has two sides, advertisements have both advantages and disadvantages.

The harmful effects of advertising are obvious. When you are enjoying very beautiful music on TV, a commercial suddenly disturbs you. You are forced to watch the advertisement unless you change the channel or leave the room. Furthermore, some advertisements are filled with flowery words and empty promises, and people are easily misled and cheated.

In general, however, advertising is of great benefit to society and individuals. When we go shopping, we may use it to compare prices, features, and the quality of products we want to buy. With advertisements, people can save a lot of time in looking for jobs, etc. All in all, the harmful effects and the helpful effects of advertisements are coexistent, and we should not ignore them just because of their disadvantages.

如今，广告非常普遍。你可以在电视上看到各种各样的广告。一些人认为广告通常是有益的，而另一些人则认为它们是有害的。因为事物都有两面性，所以广告既有优点也有缺点。

总之，正面影响和负面影响同时存在于广告之中，我们不应该仅仅因为它们的缺点而排斥它们。
