3) 选择疑问句(alternative question)

是提供两种或两种以上的情况，供对方选择的。选择疑问句有两种形式。

第一种是由两个或两个以上的一般疑问句构成，中间用or 连接，后一个疑问句常用简略式。 例如：Do you like tea or (do you like) coffee? Do you speak English or French ?

I like coffee.

We go to school by bus. I speak English.

My parents are both teachers. He is having a rest.

Will they go to cinema or library? They will go to library. 第二种是由一个特殊疑问句加两个或两个以上的选择答案，中间用or 连接构成。 例如：Who do you like best, Tom or Jerry? Tom. The tall one. Peter.

Which ice cream do you like, chocolate, vanilla or strawberry? Strawberry.
