Abstract:Slopeandaspectarethemostfrequentlyusedterrainparametersingeosciencemodels,theycannotonlyindirectlydescribetheshapeandstructureofaterrain,butalsoarethebasicparametersinthehydrologicalmodels,monitoringandanalysisoflandslides,surfacematerialmovement,soilerosionmodels,landuseplan2ning,etc.However,therearesomedifferentviewpointsandevencontradictionsintheaccuracyandalgorithmsofslopeandaspectduetothedifferencesinthesourcesoferrors,analysisandevaluationmethods.Inthispa2

per,theerrorsincalculatingslopesandaspectswithdigitalelevationmodel(DEM)aretheoreticallyanalyzed,andtheconclusionsconcernedareverifiedwiththeexperimentaldatasoastoclarifythecontradictionsincalcu2latingslopesandaspects.ItisconsideredthatthesourcesandcharactersoftheerrorsincalculatingslopesandaspectswithDEMshouldbedifferentiated,andtheevaluationofthealgorithmsshouldbecarriedoutintheob2jectiveandquantitativeenvironmentwiththecomparableobjects.KeyWords:digitalelevationmodel;slope;aspect;algorithm;accuracy.
