When we come to Cambridge, we cannot escape the influence of the Cambridge traditions. We can see at one and the same time the past, the present and even the future.

In 1209, the story of University began. Of course there were no colleges in those early days and student life was very different from what it is now. They were so offensive that they armed themselves to rob the people of the countryside.

Gradually the idea of the college developed, and in 1284, Peterhouse, the oldest college in Cambridge, was founded. Life in college was strict.

In 1440, King’s College was founded, after then the other colleges followed. English girls were extremely pretty. They all kiss you wherever you go on a visit.

To obtain a visa to study in the United States, applicants must demonstrate that the sole (not just ―primary‖) purpose of their travel is to pursue a program of study; they have the ability and intention to be a full-time student in the United States; they possess adequate funds to cover all tuition, living and anticipated incidental [?ns?'dent(?)l] expenses 额外开支without taking unauthorized (illegal) employment; applicants must bring proof that they have been unconditionally accepted to an accredited [?'kred?t?d] ( recognized/ acknowledged) 公认的academic program. The school must provide a completed I-20 form and an acceptance letter.
