A poor shepherd, whose name was Tony Barbara, lived in Scotland. It was his business to take care of the sheep which belonged to a rich landholder(地主). Sometimes he had several hundreds of lambs to look after. He drove these lambs to the pastures(牧场) on the hills and watched them day after day.
