It was Monday morning, and the writing class had just begin. Everyone was silent, wait to see who would be called upon to read his and her paragraph aloud. Some of us were confident and eager take part in the class activity, others were nervous and anxious. I had done myself homework but I was shy. This term I joined in the Chinese painting club in our school. The members of our club met once a week. We have difference activities and I enjoy all of it. We’ve invited some well-known painters to a club to talk about the history of Chinese painting but teach us the basic techniques of drawing. At the weekend, we usually go to visit art galleries, where we study the masterpieces of famous artist and discuss what we understand the works. I am very glad that our club getting more and more attractive. And I’m sure that our schoolmates will get to love our great traditionally culture and art.

My first stay at home alone was very memorable. One day when I was twelve, both of my mother and father were away on the business, and I had to be all with myself for two days. My parents left early the first day, I got up soon after they left. The first evening I was a little scare, so I turned on all the lights. I actually keep the light on in my bedroom the whole night, that finally put me at ease. For fear of get up late the next morning. I put three alarm clock near my bed and set the alarm respectively at 6:00, 6:10, and 6:15. In order to prove that I could take care of me, I washed my own clothes the next day, though I could wait for Mum to do it. I really felt proudly of myself and thought I had grown up.
