The following text (Text A) is informal in some ways. Try rewriting it and make it more formal.

Text AWe won’t formally extend the time you have to do your assignments, but if you can’t hand your assignment in on time because something has gone wrong or because you didn’t plan properly, then you can hand it in within the next 14 days. If it is late because something happened to distract you and you couldn’t have foreseen that would happen, it will not be punished.
