As is vividly shown in the picture above,in the front of the class stand a boy and his
teacher. When the teacher asks the boy a question written on the blackboard, the boy wants to seek tech support rather than working it out by himself.Simple as the drawing is,the meaning is as deep as an ocean.
Unfortunately,it is a fact that a majority of students over depend on technology. There is no denying that technology is one of the most efficient media for students to gain information that they cannot learn form books, which expands students` horizons and enriches their
thoughts. However, overuse of technology has negative influences.First, with the advent of
information age and the upgrade of functions ,an increasing number of children are obsessed with those entertainments, which can easily attract their attention and deprive their ability to think by themselves.
As one of youngsters,I think as long as we can take advantages of hi-tech reasonably, our learning process will be highly benefical. In addition, students themselves should keep it in mind that independent thinking comes first while tech support just offers assistance.Only in this way,can we benefit most from our learning process.
The picture vividly depicts that a teaching is asking a pupil to answer a simple math-related question——what’s two plus two? Unfortunately, the child cannot answer such an easy question without tech help. In fact, the phenomenon conveyed in the picture does not surprise us, because as the science and technology develops, the topic concerning the side effects of technological advancement increasingly arouses people’s attention.
Undoubtedly, the drawer of the picture aims at reminding us that we should use technology in a proper way and not be too tech-dependent to solve the simple problem independently. It is well known that thanks to the development of human civilization, many formerly unimaginable things come into reality. But, while enjoying the convenience produced by tech, we must alert its harm. Being over-addicted to technology will cost our health, independence, wisdom, creativity and even our ability to live.
Weighing the pros and cons of the technology, perhaps the best policy is to apply it properly. At the same time, we must avoid its harmful part. Furthermore, young people should be advised that depending too much on technology is hardly beneficial for them at all and more importantly they are expected to acquire the capacity to think independently.
China will endeavor to ensure every employee to have average 13.3 years of education. If the goal is achieved, a majority of people entering the labor market will be having Bachelor’s degree. In the next few years, China will increase the number of people in vocational college. Except focusing on the higher education, the government will find a breakthrough point to ensure the justice of education. China is trying to optimize education resources and, accordingly, the countryside as well as the less developed areas will receive more support.
In addition, the education ministry decides to improve the nutrition of students in less
developed areas and provides equal opportunities for the children of workers from out of town to receive education in the city.
The ideal rural lifestyle reflected in the art and literature is a great characteristic in Chinese civilization. It is largely attributed to the Taoism affection to nature.
There are two most preferred topics in traditional Chinese paintings. One kind depicts various happy scenes of family life in which the elderly play chess and drink tea, young men farm and harvest in the field, women weave or sew clothes and kids play in the outside. The other depicts the recreations of rural life. In these paintings, fishermen fish on the lake, famers hew or collect herbs on the hills and scholars compose poems or paintings under pine trees. These two themes respectively represent the ideal life of Confucianism and Taoism.
In the modern society, with competition becomes increasingly fierce, to find a job is too difficult for the young generation. Academic qualification, as a job a stepping-stone, is an essential factor during the job hunting.
Some people think that the highly educated must be able to find a good job, because
education can prove that a person has a good capacity. Therefore, it is commonly believe that a job seeker with a master degree must be easier to find a promising job than a undergraduate. However, now the company interviewers generally prefer to required a even higher academic qualification, like a doctor degree. Otherwise, the applicants, even though he or she has tremendous potential, will be refused relentlessly.
As far as I am concerned, education should not be the single standard in an interview. As for the companies, it is not necessarily a good principle as well. Now the whole community often talk about working ability and efficiency. For example, some people may have high academic
qualification, but actually his ability is very limited. So both the individual and the community ought to change their attitude on academic qualification. We should realize that it is the operational capability and service ability which can help you to find a good job.
The cartoon, apparently and obviously, portrays that in the interview of a youngster`s hunting for a job,he is declined as his diploma is lower than that is required by the corporation. It is a universal truth that a multitude of enterprises progressively select thire future employees by judging their degrees in most occasions.
This phenomenon exerts substantial consequences on our day-to-day life,as can be showed in the following aspects,For one thing,as to the job-hunters,they would spend longer time pursuing degrees.Asa result, they would overestimate their ability, both theoretically and practically and
expect a pretty decent job which is not achievable at the very beginning. For another, the
companies, attempting to recruit high-quality workers, trust excessively higher diplomas. As we know, not every job demands a high education, especially some basic skills like cooking and driving.
In conclusion ,some factors must be taken into account.Education is of great significance
admittedly, yet the actual criteria for different professions vary to a large extent. That is to say ,high education is not the unique standard for an appropriate job.
From the cartoon given above, we can observe that there is a recruiter talking with an interviewee. When looking at the resume submitted by the candidate, the interviewer says,“Sorry, kid… Your resume looks good, but you only have a Master’s degree…All the other applicants are Ph.D. ! ” Having heard these words, the applicant seems to be quite helpless and embarrassed.
The cartoon reveals that the society has been placing a higher value on educational degree. What factors might contribute to this phenomenon? Answers to this question may involve many aspects, and here are a few guesses: for one thing, from the subjective aspect, quite a few
employers hold that the higher educational degree people have, the more competent they will be. For another, from the objective aspect, with the professions in modern society becoming increasingly segmented, employees are required to acquire higher degree to fulfill their tasks efficiently.
Definitely, higher degrees enjoy obvious advantages. However, it is not advisable that employers judge a person only by his/ her educational backgrounds. Let alone “Degree
Discrimination”. As for ourselves, we should not only attach a great importance to educational degree, but also spare no efforts to enhance our comprehensive abilities.
About a decade ago, college students couldfind satisfactory and enviable jobs after they acquire Master’s degree. But now, things are quite different. Today's university students usually have muchpressure in finding fairly good jobs. They always say disappointedly that goods jobs means high diplomas.
Why nowadays university students with lower degrees have so much pressure in finding jobs? For my part, this kind of pressure is mainly caused by three reasons.Firstly, the government is enrolling more and more university students year by year. And the growth of the students' number has surpassed that of the need of the society. So, when so many students graduate at a time, the chance of finding good jobs becomes tiny. Secondly, today's university students, most of them are the \think that it is really hard to find jobs.
This situation can be changed. The university students can join in some extracurricular activities on campus to train their abilities of doing things independently and try to do some part-time jobs during weekends and vacations to gain more social experience.
Just as the saying in Forrest Gump goes, \what you gonna get. \
this movie? It's a long-running controversial topic.
It is universally acknowledged that the greatest use of life is to spend it for something that will outlast it, which is so called immortality. The key to immortality is first living a life worth remembering. For example, heroes like Martin Luther King live a life worth talking about anytime and anywhere. Without Gandhi, India might still be part of the British Empire. Without Mandela, the African might still have segregated buses, restaurants, and parks. A hero always has a story of adventure to tell and to move the masses. That's a meaningful life.
From my perspective, a life without challenge, a life without hardship, a life without goal, seems pale and pointless. Thus facing all the challenges, cracking the hardship, and sticking to the goal are the key points of meaningful life. Only in this way can we enrich our life and make it more meaningful.
The Value of Endurance
[1] As the saying goes, he conquers who endures. Those people with great endurance often prove to be more likely to achieve their goals. [2] In this fast-paced society where effectiveness and quick satisfaction appear to be the pursuit of people, hardly do people have the patience to stick with their dreams if efforts are not transformed into fruits in the short term.
[3] Actually, however the society may change, the traditional Chinese virtues such as endurance should remain unchanged. [4] By no means can endurance be identical to cowardice: Endurance is the courage shown even if the whole world is against us. [5] For example, an ancient Chinese character, Goujian, king of Yue, once taken captive by his enemy, pretended to be obedient. But after released, he determined to take revenge. He endured unimaginable hardships for about twenty years and finally defeated his enemy.
[6] Therefore, it is important that we never give up when things do not turn out as we expected. [6] We should hold a long-term view and persuade ourselves that all the time spent and efforts made shall fruit. [6] In addition, we ought to hold fast to our goals and be ready to whether any storm in life.
