4.2 Mounting of the Cutting Head

The Cutting Head YK52 is delivered in components.Decisive single parts are premounted in the right positi-on.

When assembling the cutting head, it is im-portant to keep an eye on cleanliness to pro-tect the focusing lens.

It is possible to destroy the focusing lens ifdust or hard soilings on the surface burn in.Thus the focusing lens has to be in a cleanand perfect condition. Because of the pro-tection glass and by the exceed pressure inthe cutting head during cutting, the lens isalmost totally protected against intrudingparticles.

Mounting of the lens

When delivered, there are two lens rings and one nutpremounted in the lens holder. Before inserting thelens, these parts have to be dismantled.

Put lensholder on a base, thread side down. Counter-clockwise unscrew the nut with themounting tool.

Orientation of mounting tool: milling to the bottom Take out the lens rings.

Insert the slim spacer with the arrow on the insideshowing in beam direction.

The sit of the lens modelled into the ring should be ori-ented to the top.

Insert lens. The stronger curved surface has torest on top of the slim ring.

Insert the wide spacer with the arrow on the insideshowing in beam direction.

Cleaning of the lens

The focusing lens has to be handled carefully. Da-mages of the surface have absolutely to be avoided.For the cleaning of the lens, following objects shouldbe available:

- pair of bellows

- spray bottle with demineralized water- detergence

- plastic box with clean water (2 -3 liters)

- clean air, free of dust and oil, to dry by blowing

Way of proceeding for glass lenses:

With the pair of bellows blow away dust and looseparticles.

The lens has to be rinsed in water with addeddetergence.

Rinse carefully with demineralized water (spraybottle).

With dry air, free of dust and oil, blow carefullyuntil dry.

Check lens. In case of streaks occurence, repeatcleaning.
