venezuelans usually invite only close friend and relatives（亲戚） to their homes. At home, they always offer guests a cup of strong , blank coffee . Visitors usually bring a gift, like flowers. At meals they sit on chairs around a table. They eat with knives and forks（叉子），though many people just use the fork. After guests finish eating, they put the knife and fork in the centre of their plate（盘子）.

They don’t tell their dinner guests what time to arrive. In the city they sit on chairs around a table , but in the countryside they sit on mats on the floor.
