1) 准备好背景知识

第三部分的讨论是对相关商业问题较深入的讨论，如果缺乏背景知识，考生之间很难展开对话，BEC VANTAGE 的topic areas 有以下几个方面（摘自”Business English Certificates Handbook ）:

Personal identification

The office, general business environment and routine

Entertainment of clients, free time, relationship with colleagues and clients. Travel and conference meetings Using the telephone Health and safety Buying and selling

Company structures, system, process Products and services Results and achievements Business issues Other topic areas

因此作为口语考试的知识准备，考生可以通过BEC 阅读复习或其他参考书准备相关的背景知识，也可以参考我们精选的一些背景商业信息。

2）处理好与partner 的合作

第三部分是考生之间的conversation, 考生之间的合作直接决定该题的得分。只有双方积极合作，互相促进，才能使conversation 得以进行，否则就是自问自答或者是难堪的沉默。

a.摈弃自我主义和依赖思想，遵循“give your opinion +ask the opinion of your partner”的谈话方式

Examinee A: OK, shall we make a start? Examinee B: OK!

Examinee A: Let s start with travel and accommodation arrangements we need to make for the

trade fair in China before the trip. First, I think we need to book the British Airlines tickets, because the open day is very close. What’s your opinion?

Examinee B: Traveling by BA is a good idea, and I think we can book the roundtrip ticket. It can

save us a great deal!

Examinee A: Wonderful! And we must also consider the accommodation, what do you think?

b. 对于自己确实不熟悉的主题，可以通过强调、转换、解释、说明等方式将partner 的话进行复述(Say again in other words!),这样既展现了自己的rich vocabulary,又使对话得以延续。接上面的例子：
