考点一：可数名词与不可数名词 一、可数名词
可以用数量来计算的名词叫可数名词。可数名词有单数和复数两种形式。可数名词的单数可以与冠词a/an连用。
可数名词单数变复数形式规则变化如下：
1. 一般在名词后直接加-s。如books, carrots, desks。 2. 以s, x, sh, ch结尾的名词在词尾加-es。如buses, boxes, watches。
3. 以“辅音字母+y”结尾的名词变y为i，再加-es。如families，cities。

4. 以f或fe结尾的名词一般变f或fe为v，再加-es。如 knives，lives。
5. 一般以“辅音字母+o”结尾的名词在词尾加-es，以“ 元音字母+o”结尾的名词在词尾加-s。如potatoes， tomatoes，radios，zoos。
6. 有些名词的复数形式是不规则的。如child→children，man→men，woman→women，sheep→sheep。
二、不可数名词
无法用数量来计算的名词叫不可数名词。不可数名词一般没有复数形式，前面不能用表示具体数量的数词或a，an，常用于修饰不可数名词的有some，any，much，little，a little等。
不可数名词有：
1. 各种物质名词。如beer, water, ice, paper, oil, gold。 2. 抽象名词。如death, beauty, help, use。 3. 英语中下列名词也是不可数名词，容易受汉语的影 响而被混为可数名词：baggage 行李；furniture 家 具；weather 天气；information 信息；knowledge 知识；news 新闻；advice 建议。
4. 不可数名词常与量词搭配，组成短语。如a piece of news, a drop of oil, a cup of tea, two slices of bread, three teaspoons of honey。
三、有些词既是可数名词，又是不可数名词
