Grade7 English teaching Plans Teacher:Jiang Dongmei Periods :076 Date : Prepare – Dec.4th 7AUnit 8 Fashion Comic &Welcome to the unit Teaching aims: 1. 80% students learn new vocabulary about fashion: tie、blouse、lend、spend 2. All the students can talk about clothes: I‘m thinking about what to wear today. That‘s right You‘re so lazy. Procedures: Step1 Warm-up 1. Introduce the topic with the pictures and fashion labels,put the pictures on the blackboard. Then teacher says: boys and girls, today I will be a shopkeeper. This is my clothes shop. I have many clothes in my shop, I would like to welcome you to my shop and have a look at my clothes. You can buy the clothes you like. Believe me. My clothes are all in the latest fashion and they are also cheaper. 2. Let the students choose the clothes they like and talk with them T: Which one would you like? S: I‘d like this one. T: It is called blouse. It is a yellow blouse. 3. Help students revise the names of clothing and present the new words. Step 2 Presentation 1. Ask students: “What are you wearing today?” Let the students answer and present Part A. Ask and answer with the students. 2. Ask students to put the following words in the correct boxes and check it out together. Step 3 Presentation The teacher comes beside a student and says: I think you look beautiful in this coat . What size is your coat?(The student answers:Size M) I like your coat very much. But I‘m afraid it is too small for me. Maybe my daughter can wear it. Can you lend it to me? Teach the new word ?lend‘. 2. Now Mille is asking her mother to lend her some clothes for the fashion show .Listen to the conversation between Mille and her mum and answer the question: What size is Mum‘s blouse? Listen to the tape again and answer another question: Who can wear this blouse, Mille or Sandy? Listen and repeat ,then act it out . Explain the difference between borrow and lend borrow sth from sb/borrow one‘s sth lend sth to sb/lend sb sth e.g. Can I borrow a pen from you ? Can you lend a pen to me ?

Let the students discuss then lead in the dialogue between Hobo and Eddie 2. Listen to the tape and answer the following questions: Q1.What is Eddie doing? Q2.What does Hobo think of Eddie? 3. Read it freely and loudly then act it out. 4. Explain some important language points: ① 10 more minutes =another 10 minutes 数词+more+名词=another+数词+名词 e.g. 8 more books =another 8 books ② what to wear wh-words +to do how to solve where to go when to leave ③ so lazy So +adj./adv. e.g. This flowers are so beautiful. He runs so quickly ③ spend Spend … on Spend … (in) doing e.g He spends two hours on his homework. He spends two hours doing his homework. 5. Then read the dialogue together. Homework :1. Oral work: Revise this period, listen, repeat and recite Comic strip 2. Recite the new words, phrases and sentence patterns. 3. Preview reading Afterthoughts :

All the students can develop vocabulary of describing clothes and materials. 2. 90% students can master the following Words: lady, gentleman, comfortable, popular Phrases: sports clothes. both…and Sentences: Trainers are popular among young people, Here comes Simon. Procedures Step1 Warming up Step2 Lead–in 1. The teacher says :I will say today we are going to have a fashion show. Your classmates are going to show us some different styles of clothes. Now please enjoy the show.Then I‘ll make a dialogue about the students ‘ clothes. IAsk: What is he wearing? Get the students to say: He is wearing a shirt. Then ask What is his shirt made of? Get the students to answer: It is made of silk. It is a silk shirt. Then ask: Is it comfortable? Explain comfortable.(giving a good feeling. For example: The shoes are comfortable to wear.) Get the students to answer: Yes, it is. Then give more examples to practice the words and expressions and write down the new words on the blackboard, such as: scarf, jeans, trainers, boot, wool, cotton, purple. Then let the students read the new words after the teacher. Step 3 Presentation 1. Tell the students :The class 1 Grade 7 students are also having a fashion show. Would you like to learn about their show? OK, Let′s read Millie′s Speech silently, and answer this question:What will the students show? 2.After that .Play the tape for the students to read after the tape and finish doing B1 and check the answer with the students. 3.Get the students read the text silently and finish off B2 and correct the false statements. Step 4 Explaining some language points ―both…and‖ it means ―not only…but also‖ ―cool‖ means ―excellent‖ ―popular‖ means―liked or enjoyed by a large number of‖ Step 5 Making a summary. In this period, we learned the key words in the text and talked about the main information of the text. Homework: 1.Read the text 2. Finish off the exercises on the book Afterthoughts :

Procedures: Step 1 Revision Revise ―comfortable‖ again. Eg:It is comfortable to wear the trainers. Our life is comfortable. Step 2 Game Ask the students to read the passage again and try to do some exercises, a. According to the passage. Ask the students to color the students‘ clothes. Help Ss find out the light and comfortable trainers,the red&grey tie,a blue T-shirt,a red silk blouse,a blue scarf. Then ask Ss what you are wearing today,what about your friends? b. According to the students‘ pictures and try to match the right clothes to the students. Revise the using of the new words and expressions of the passage and then ask them to finish the exercises on Page 96. (B3B4) 2. Ask the students to read the passage again according to the passage. Let students answer some questions. When is the fashion show? What are they wearing? What is the show for? How long is the show? How many does the show last? What do you think of the show?
