The next morning, Mary woke up in excitement, because she was going to buy herself a doll. But at breakfast, she saw on the table a nice doll dressed in beautiful clothes. “Happy birthday, Mary. This is a doll I made for you,” her mother said to her happily. Knowing her mom had been working on it for two weeks, Mary felt ashamed that she shouldn’t have taken the money. In tears, she told her mom the truth and promised she would not do such a thing again. 参考复述：
